Dr. Bharat Patel accepted my request to sing the Pakad even when he was under the weather. He is from my Medical school, my senior. He is kind, generous and has a great sense of humor. He plays keyboard too.

Liked "Sawan Ka Mahina", loved "Awaz De Kahaan Hai". Discovered another side of your singing prowess ... voice modulation. Liked Thinkal's voice here too, and he provided a good 'supporting' voice to you. I think his voice was slightly louder than yours. Your voice flow, expressions, and most importantly that special adaa for purani movies (don't know how to explain) came out very, very nicely. Brilliant work by you two.
The pakad by Dr. Patel was a nice touch to present this raag. He did a remarkable job.
I enjoyed Raag Pahadi songs. I liked both songs. Because I love old(mostly 1970's) songs.

" Awaz de" is eqally popular in India and Pakistan. Noorjahan visited India in 1982 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Indian talkie movies, where she was received by Dilip Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar in Mumbai. She sang this song by popular demand. It is #1 duet that comes to mind when the name " Noorjahan" is mentioned.
Dinesh: If I were to sing one song of Noorjahan, it would be "Awaz de". I am happy it stirred some pleasant memories.
"Anmol Ghadi" is the only movie to my knowledge, where Naushad and Noorjahan came together.
"Sawan ka mahina" was a suggestion from Pradip. I am well aware of my limitations in this duet but Pradip has sung it so very well. If you liked it, Mehnat wasool!
