Don't seem to have heard this one before but it was super - lovely song! And wonderfully rendered by both of you - Pradip modulated his voice very well - sounded like Talat. :)
Loved it Paras!

Dr., heard your duet, listening it instilled a nostalgic ache in my soul, songs and singers of your…. they have gone never to return… only few ppl like you can sing these kinds of songs because every singer doesnt possess the innate sense of owning the bygone golden era of indian music. Pradip tried his best… it is very difficult to sing talat saab`s songs because his congenital vibrato is not easy to copy.

Wah ...Paras and Pradeep ...superb rendition..just loved it. Paras nice throw in your voice, which reminds us of those beautiful good days of music gone by.

Pradip...you really brought the Talat's aspect in your rendition...very expressive.

Paras your blog should be called "Bhooli bisri sargam"

Paras & Pradeep,
Lovely melodious duet and beautifully sung by both of you. Very rare song to listen, but as usual it is always a great treat listening you specially. Thanks for sharing this classic.

Thanks so much Adina, Harshan , TGK and Dinesh.
I am trying to keep "Sargam" a mixed bag of songs. Since the "bhoole bisre" are many more, the ratio will always be lopsided in their favor.

Not familiar with the original but really enjoyed the vintage feel of this beautiful song. Lovely rendition by both of you.

Dear Dr. Parasmani & Pradip,
Very lovely song and well done both of you. Immensely enjoyed the song, brought back old memories. This song was so popular in Sri Lanka and there is a Sinhala version of this song. I remember my parents loving it. Very beautiful once again.

Keep Singing,
Shantha

Paras ji

Exemplary singing by both of you...I really liked the nostalgic feeling associated with this song of bygone era. While you have created the old ambience of Lata ji vocals, Pradeep ji has very well emulated Talat sahab. I love two other songs of this movie ("Mohabbat hi na jo samjhe..." by Talat sahab and "Kat-tay hain dukh mein ye din ...."by Lata ji).I really wish that you attempt the Lata ji song if track is available. Congrats and regards..

Thanks Azam, Srikumaran and Kumaran
for your kind words.

P L Narasimham ji: I am glad you liked this duet in Pilu. Thanks!

Shantha: It was nice to know that you have heard this song before. Please sing the Sinhala version for us.

Sridhar: Thanks :) I think Pradip has sung it very well giving it the sad tone necessary.
"Mohabbat hi" and "Kat te hain" are both my favorite songs.

Thanks Adwait!

Another great rendition by two great singers in the blog world. I agree w/Harshan, your blog should be named 'Bhule-Bisre-Sargam'. Don't know how you collect these rare k-tracks, must be getting these custom-made.
Delivery is absolutely amazing. Paras, you know your genre and always perform very well. Pradip is a well-known voice to all of us, a true perfectionist.
Excellent job you two!

So very well rendered...heard it twice.

Thanks, Asim. This track is from one of the music sites. This was one of my older files that Pradip helped me finish recently. I am glad you liked it.
Alpana..I am surprised that a lot of people heard this song for the first time! It came after Anarkali, with C. Ramchandra as music director. Happy you liked it.
