O Mere Sona...

Teesri Manzil (1966)...a crime story with a romantic angle, directed by Vijay Anand and starring Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh had some of the most popular songs composed by R D Burman. Producer Nasir Hussain wanted Dev Anand for the lead role but Dev was not available.

Other Nasir Hussain productions were Dil de ke dekho (1959), Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai (1961), Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon (1963),Baharon Ke Sapne (1967), Pyar Ka Mausam (1969), Caravan (1971), Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973) and Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin (1977).
Nasir Hussain was Aamir Khan's uncle.

Tum kamsin ho/ Main kamsin hun...

"Aayee milan ki bela"
A 1964 film, produced by J. Om Prakash (Hrithik Roshan's maternal grandfather) had Rajendra Kumar and Saira Banu in the lead roles and it has been the only film starring Dharmendra in the villain role. Both men vying for her hand.
Here are two versions of a very popular song. I thank Azam for "Tum kamsin ho"... I have attempted the lesser known version, "Main kamsin hun".
