Manmohan Desai, born in Valsad,Gujarat (Feb. 26, 1936 -March 1, 1994) was a renowned producer and director of Indian movies.His father had directed a film in the 1930s . His brother, Subhash Desai was a producer. Manmohan got his big break with the Hindi film Chhalia (1960). Subhash later went on to produce Bluffmaster, Dharamveer, Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and Desh Premee with Manmohan as the director.
After his wife's death, he was engaged to actress Nanda in 1992. He ended his life because of medical problems in 1994. His son is married to Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali's daughter.
Amar Akbar Anthony was truly a multi starer and a big box office hit. "Hum ko tumse" is probably the first and only time Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh and Mohammed Rafi..all sang together.

Hey, your blog is just amazing, not less than a music encyclopedia. Detailed information about each song with pictures and most importantly songs in your voice.
